Krack Attack: Everyone who uses WiFi is at risk...Mitigate your risk NOW!

This vulnerability puts just about everyone at risk!

Late Sunday night, it was announced that multiple vulnerabilities were discovered in the widely used Wi-Fi Protected Access II protocol (WPA2) that could make it possible for attackers to eavesdrop on traffic passed between computers and wireless access points. While details are still being released, manufacturers of every wireless router/access point, and every device with wireless access are working towards defining updates that will resolve this vulnerability. However, at this time there is no complete solution that will “fix” this vulnerability, and we do not know when we will be able to sound the all clear - at least for this security risk.

If you search the internet, you will see there’s a lot of fear and uncertainly spreading in regards to what they are calling the Krack Attack (Key Reinstallation AttaCK). This is completely justified as this vulnerability puts just about everyone at risk. At Mytech, our advice is not to panic. Check out this video as we walk you through how to assess your risks, and what actions to take NOW to protect yourself as we all wait for the necessary updates/patches to be released.

Stay tuned in the coming days for more updates.
