Mytech Culture Experience | September 2016

"Set the next person up for success." What that means is different to every person. How it’s done is different to every person. So how does Mytech “Set the next person up for success”? I will start with the Make a Difference training we do as an organization. This is a personality profile test like many others out there. To me, the main difference with the Make a Difference training is you actually remember what you learn and apply it! It is based on four different animal types; Leading Lion, Competent Camel, Tranquil Turtle and the Much Loved Monkey. Make a Difference training teaches you how to communicate with others and learn to understand that we all have different perspectives. People, in general, assume everyone thinks the way they think or views us the way we view ourselves. That couldn’t be further than the truth. Through this training, we learn the qualities and natural characteristics of each animal type to help guide us when being approached or approaching someone within the organization and life in general.

I’d rather attempt to do something great and fail than to attempt to do nothing and succeed. – Robert H. Schuller

Once we figure out the animal type an employee is, we make plaques for them which have their animal on it and we also we put a stuffed animal on their desk. We do this so that it is front and center. Communicate Directly and Openly is another one of Mytech’s values. Communication is the key to success in any relationship you have. Whether it be your co-worker or loved one, we need to have open dialog to be successful and Make a Difference is inspiring us to do just that. Here’s to setting the next person up for success!!!

Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present, and I have the power to make it so. – Anonymous
