Mytech Culture Experience | March 2016

For the first quarter of this New Year we have focused on the Communication Pillar at Mytech. This month the highlighted value is Care and Share. This value has a huge impact not only on the lives here at Mytech, but also in the community we share. Two years ago we passed a volunteering initiative that has really took off. We allow for each employee to take either one 8 hour day or two 4 hour days of their choice to volunteer. This month I am highlighting Mytech as a whole.

“The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served.” - Gordon B. Hinckley

"The scarcest resource is not oil, metals, clean air, capital, labor, or technology. It is our willingness to listen to each other and learn from each other and to seek the truth rather than seek to be right." - Donella Meadows

The typical problem is people saying “I really want to volunteer but I just don’t have the time”. Mytech understands that it is part of a bigger picture and takes a stand to involve their employees to better the community – the value of this is priceless. So as we go through our days, weeks and months, we sometimes need a reminder that we are part of something bigger, and Mytech gives us the ability to Care and Share in the Community in which we live.
